Inauguration du centre commercial rénové Les Deux Rivières à Lanester

Opening of the renovated Les Deux Rivières shopping center Mercialys adds a seaside touch to L’Esprit Voisin concept...

Eleven new retailers have added to the offering of the shopping center, which has been enlarged by 1,886 m² and renovated with a local touch and in harmony with the seaside setting of Morbihan.

The Les Deux Rivières shopping center extension opened its doors in Lanester on Wednesday April 23, on the outskirts of Lorient. The center has been enlarged by 1,886 m². This additional space was created from the redevelopment of part of the hypermarket’s selling space. The project has allowed for the creation of a new shopping mall able to house 11 new stores, including eight retailers that have opened their first store in the area: Mango, Le Bonhomme de Bois, Moa, Morgan, Jack & Jones, Calzedonia, MS Mode and Equivalenza.

A new dimension

The aim of this redevelopment project is to increase the shopping center’s outreach and consolidate its status as the leading shopping destination in the city of Lorient. This enhanced offering was designed in order to meet the expectations of local and summer shoppers as closely as possible.

Firmly anchored in the Morbihan setting

On entering the site, the feeling of welcoming conveyed by L’Esprit Voisin concept is reflected by the presence of elements of style typical of the region. The Lanester shopping center was the first to adopt these design concepts in 2008, which have since been rolled out gradually across all of Mercialys’ shopping centers. The key aspect of the renovation project is the local touch, based on a warm and friendly welcome. On extending Les Deux Rivières, application of the L’Esprit Voisin concept entailed borrowing from the seaside aspects characteristic of the landscapes of Morbihan.

Continiuing roll-out of L’Esprit Voisin concept

The opening of the Lanester shopping center is the first in a wave of nine openings in 2014 under L’Esprit Voisin concept. This major investment program is therefore continuing to move forward with the aim of renovating all of Mercialys’ shopping centers on the basis of strong design and theme concepts, characteristic of the group’s identity and creating value for shopping center retailers.
